PERAN FAKTOR GENETIK DALAM PERKEMBANGAN KANKER PAYUDARA PADA WANITA USIA 30–60 TAHUN
Abstract
Breast cancer is among the most prevalent cancers in women and a leading cause of mortality worldwide. This study aims to analyze the role of genetic factors in the incidence of breast cancer among women aged 30–60 years. The study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach, and participants were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected from medical records and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results revealed a significant association between genetic factors—particularly a family history of breast cancer—and the occurrence of the disease. Other contributing factors included age at menarche, hormonal contraceptive use, and lifestyle habits. These findings underscore the importance of early detection and awareness of genetic risk factors to improve breast cancer prevention and management strategies.
